For all the affordability AND availability of housing within metro Medellin. The health care being wonderful and quite affordable. Daily expenditures for food, utilities, etc., quite reasonable. The AIR QUALITY of Medellin is awful! For the greater part, filtered/central ventilation offered in Medellin is nonexistent...open the window (no screens) the airflow is great...including the carbon precipitates from bus, auto and motorcycle traffic. Terrible AIR QUALITY! Mop you floors...scrub them if you like. Don a pair of white socks and walk around...BLACK! Everyday, every night...every holiday...AIR QUAlITY is terrible in Medellin...cough, cough...hack, hack.

I visited six weeks ago but just now seeing this. Really enjoyed the video and feel you do a great job! I would add that the castle at the top of Chapultepec Park is now the Nstional History Museum. The Palacio de Bellas Artes is also stunning with numerous murals by all the Mexican masters. The glass curtain on the performance stage was commissioned by Louis Tiffany in 1912 (think that was the year). It's incredible. Thanks for some great tips for my next visit to CDMX.

Last year I traveled a couple of weeks in Colombia around the same time you did and it was really nice to see some of the same destinations. The combination of footage about nature experiences and surrounding yourself in the real culture of a country / region is what keeps attracting me to your channel. So thank u for all the good stuff so far ✌

Some things. The main underground street in Guanajuato was a canal, but many of the tunnels you were in were explicitly built to handle traffic. Only the main street under the city was used for water distribution. Translating "Bufa" as if it were a Spanish word is weird, and I don't think is correct. The word likely doesn't come from Spanish. There is a different (and more famous) Cerro de la Bufa in Zacatecas, and it is similar in look to the one in Guanajuato. Wikipedia states that one of the possible origins is from a word in Aragonese. I have no idea of the origin of the name, but I'm quite sure we wouldn't name a hill "Snort". Finally, Guanajuato has very heavy traffic at least for a city of its size, and when you live there, it can be awful. Living there is a very different experience from just visiting since most of the touristic things to do are within walking distance or downtown, but that is not always the case with school and work. Just imagine having to walk up 150 stairs in the alleys with your groceries.

I've only taken coach buses to reach places outside the capital. They're fantastic and pre-buying tickets for these is optional. I've not taken inner city buses - I prefer using ridehailing for this which is cheap and plentiful in CDMX. The metro is decent, though often very crowded and sometimes the signage is lacking, so I found it helpful to have a metro map on my phone. For longer distances in the city the metro is very useable, for shorter distances I found taxis/ridehailing very practical. Have fun :)
